When everybody plays, we all win. This is a statement Microsoft highlighted in a previous ad and the company is bringing the idea, and awareness of the Xbox Adaptive Controller, to an even bigger audience with a commercial for Super Bowl LIII (53).
The ad, titled "We All Win", spotlights a few gamers and how the Xbox Adaptive Controllers allows them to enjoy video games at the levels they know they're capable of. One particular kid, Ian, drives home the potential of this particular ad and its placement at the Super Bowl. When speaking on using a standard controller, he says "I never thought it was unfair, I just thought 'hey, this is the way it is and it's not gonna change." The Xbox Adaptive Controller is opening up doors for a lot of gamers and there are likely many out there that don't know that they have an option that can fit their needs.
"When technology empowers each of us, it empowers all of us. This Super Bowl, follow the inspirational story of passionate young gamers rising to the top of their game with a little help from their friends, family and the Xbox Adaptive Controller," reads the video's description on YouTube (an audio description version is also available). "The story illustrates Microsoft’s commitment to building accessible technology that levels the playing field and creates opportunity for all of us."
Owen, one of the kids featured in this Super Bowl commercial from Microsoft, was also the lead in a previous ad focused on the Xbox Adaptive Controller. The device has a plethora of customization features, allowing gamers to set it for their specific needs via switches, buttons, mounts, and joysticks.
