CES 2019 had plenty of cool products to check out, but we were the most interested (obviously) in what was on offer in terms of gaming. So we headed on over to the My Arcade booth to see what we could get our hands on.
Erick Hernandez, My Arcade's marketing associate, was on hand to show off the Ms. Pac-Man Pocket Player, which comes with Ms. Pac-Man, Sky Kid, and Happy. Last year, the Pac-Man version released with three games, and now this model will be available in April 2019. Battery life will depend on how often and what you play with up to 15 hours and it runs on AA-batteries. It will run $34.99.
In a partnership with Taito, My Arcade has a new Micro Player line for $34.99 that will also release in April. It features one game with a built-in speaker and headphone jack. It runs on 4 AA batteries or a micro USB cable.
Lastly, the company's Retro Champ device can play original NES and Famicom cartridges with a full-color 7-inch screen with an HDMI output to plug in for your television. It's compatible with the company's Super Game Pad controller as well, which is Bluetooth-enabled. It's coming in June 2019 for $79.99.
If you're a retro gamer, it looks like My Arcade has you covered, and then some. A portable NES player definitely looks like something we want to add to our retro collections.
