Shacknews tackled tons of interesting products and innovative tech during CES 2019, including plenty of cool tech meant for kids and younger listeners. One in particular is ONANOFF's BuddyPhones WAVE, a cool listening option for the little ones in your family.
Shacknews chatted with BuddyPhones content creator Timothy about the new headphone models, which you can check out below.
ONANOFF's BuddyPhones are award-winning headphones that feature volume-limiting features to help protect young ears from dangerous levels. Given that long-term exposure to loud noises will end up damaging your ears after a period of time, BuddyPhones were built with children in mind and automatically cap sound at 85 decibels, the level recommended by the World Health Organization for kids.
The BuddyPhones WAVE model connect via Bluetooth and offer over 24 hours of battery life as well as four different listening modes: Toddler Mode, Kids Mode, Travel Mode, and StudyMode. The innovative StudyMode uses proprietary technology that is capped at 94dB and is used to optimize the clarity of speaking voices and to make things crisper and help kids stay focused when watching educational videos or listening to lectures.
Wearing headphones and listening to them at dangerous volumes is something you've got to watch out for, especially when more kids and teens are using tablets and smart devices these days on their own. When you were a kid you probably used to crank the volume up as loud as you could get it, which could have lead to dangerous listening habits in the future for current you. Don't let that happen to your kids and see about handing these cool headphones out to little ones you know.
