Samsung unveils new curved UHD and QHD HDR monitors

One of the best places to get a look at upcoming televisions and computer monitors is CES, and Shacknews was on-site at 2019 to get a look at all the latest. Tech manufacturer Samsung had a huge presence at the show, and the company was more than happy to show off the latest products game and film enthusiasts can salivate over in the coming months, including a crisp new 32-inch 4K display at a budget-friendly price point.

One of the more interesting products the company revealed is the Samsung UR59C, an CES Innovations Award-winning monitor that's being touted as the world's first 32-inch UHD curved display. At 32 inches, it's just within the size range for middle- to high-end desktop displays, and thanks to its 4K UHD resolution, users will be able to enjoy remarkable clarity and pixel density. It also includes a truly tremendous 240hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync support, which makes it perfect for PC gamers looking for a future-proof monitor to match their ever-evolving systems. Best of all, it's available for pre-order over on the Samsung website, running a retail price of just $499.99.

The other big monitor on display was the Samsung CRG9 Super-Ultrawide 49-inch QLED curved gaming monitor. Another CES Innovations Award winner, the massive 49-inch QHD display combines rich pixel density with the viewing area of two 27-inch 16:9 monitors sitting side-by-side. In fact, the CRG9 is able to split itself into two distinct 27-inch screens for any software that may be better suited to dual displays. It also offers HDR1000 support, which should make for excellent contrast between dark and light scenes.

CES 2019 is always the place to be when it comes to new and upcoming technology, which is why Shacknews is happy to provide readers with in-depth coverage. Catch more convention highlights and new product reveals by following both Shacknews and GamerHub.tv over on YouTube.
