Gaming peripheral manufacturer Razer is always coming out with new devices, and the company had plenty to showcase at this year's CES 2019 presentation. Among the company's many offerings was the new Razer Raptor gaming monitor, sporting all the bells and whistles that PC players demand. Check out all of the monitor's biggest details in the video below.
Billed as "Razer's ultimate gaming esports display," the Razer Raptor uses a 27-inch display running at 1440p at 144hz. The display has been created with both performance and clarity in mind, and the IPS display, HDR400 support, and one-millisecond response time should fit the bill for players keen on twitch-gaming action.
It's not without its added bonuses, either. The monitor itself can be tilted backward 90 degrees for quick access to its ports, which include HDMI 2.0a, DisplayPort, USB-C, and two passthrough USB-A 3.0 ports. Cable management is integrated, and the monitor also includes support for Razer's Synapse 3 software, offering a forged aluminum base with a built-in Razer Chroma RGB light bar.
The Razer Raptor includes a single joystick-toggle input option not too far removed from what's featured on modern LG monitors, and the menu includes various options for picture-in-picture display and color adjustments. Gaming options also notably include AMD FreeSync and Razer's own Low Motion Blur technology to keep each frame as crisp as possible.
The Razer Raptor 27" IPS gaming monitor is slated to launch sometime in the first half of 2019 with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of only $699. More information about the Raptor display can be found over on the official Razer website.
