Last CES Samsung introduced consumers to The Wall, a massive 146-inch Micro LED display. Now, this year, Samsung has unveiled a much smaller, home-friendly version of The Wall in a 75-inch package.
The new 4K Micro LED displayer features self-emissive technology and modular capabilities and is set to deliver unparalleled picture quality and design for those looking to spruce up their living room entertainment options. Like the original, the new 75-inch display allows users to snap together small modular panels, connecting their display seamlessly into any wall in their house.
There still isn’t pricing information available for the 75-inch version of The Wall, or even when it will be available for consumers. That being said, Samsung has stated several times that the technology could still change as they develop it and work on it more. On top of the more consumer-friendly version, though, Samsung also showed off a massive 219-inch version of The Wall.
While the future of Micro LED is promising, there are also some issues that Samsung will need to tackle carefully. While the picture quality is something to experience, Samsung will also need to worry about producing Micro LED panels on a large-scale, as any bad pixels could lead to the entire display being a bust. So, for now, all we can do is look forward to the future of Micro LED displays, as the work that Samsung has shown off could lead to a massive change in how we as consumers enjoy television and movies.
While there are some risks to take into account with these types of displays, the bezel-free panels ensure a seamless and stunning picture that blends perfectly into any wall or background, creating a window into the world of entertainment unlike anything that’s been available before.
