PlayStation Plus' January lineup is starting off with a handful of solid titles for Sony platforms. The last couple of years of gaming have been so flush with new titles, you have certainly missed out on playing a few of them. For whatever reasons, if you missed out on snow sports game Steep or the action-RPG Portal Knights, you can get them for free if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
Steep drops players into an open-world set in the Alps. On the various mountains, players can explore and conquer different routes while using skis, snowboards, paragliders, and wingsuits. You can hit the fresh powder solo or with friends, take on different challenges, and share your coolest moments with the world.
If you're itching to take randomly-generated islands with a custom made warrior, ranger, or mage, Portal Knights is your ticket to adventure. This free PlayStation Plus title for January features tactical combat, boss battles, random events, 3D sandbox worlds, and more. You can take on this journey in four-player co-op online and two-player split screen, as well. There are also homes for players to customize and a creative mode where players create their own islands. Via the PlayStation Plus subscription, here's the rest of the January lineup of free games:
