Team Arena Performance

Robert Duffy from id Software was kind enough to answer several questions in the threads here yesterday about TeamArena. Most notably a lengthy post about performance and how well they have things running now. A lot of concern about performance came up after people getting a better look at the terrain maps. The benches looks much more reasonable than the numbers some people were having earlier.

AMD 850 with a GeForce 2 ( we test and play at 640x480 ), everything was maxed out quality wise.
Q3A - Averages 173 FPS
TA - Averages 164 FPS
Now if you move down to a P2-400 with a TNT2, you see something like:
Q3A - Averags 47 FPS
TA - Averages 43 FPS
