Sega's long-running Yakuza has just recently started to make waves in the US after being a sleeper hit for years and now the latest title from the team behind the Japanese mob-themed series is bringing their latest title to America. Today during the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, Sega announced that Judgment would be launching in the US this coming summer in 2019. The game is being completely dubbed with English voice actors and while I'm not entirely sure it's part of the main Yakuza series, it definitely looks to maintain that same vibe.
The game seems to revolve around an investigation into the recent murder of three Yakuza. Players will take on the role of a mobster as he tried to solve the mystery and hunt down the murderer. It's more of a detective mystery than a brawler, but it is set in the same universe as the Yakuza series. Not much more information was presented other than the Summer 2019 release date for the US, but we'll be sure to keep you posted as more details are revealed.
