Netherrealm Studios' Ed Boon took the stage during The Game Awards 2018 tonight to announce Mortal Combat 11, surprising everyone with not just a trailer, but a release date as well.

Mortal Combat 11 is bringing its ultra-violent and gleefully gory brand of fighting to gamers on April 23, 2019.
