Fortnite players who are looking to unchain their game with some new PC hardware upgrades are in luck. Thanks to a new promotion between Epic Games and the manufacturers at NVIDIA, gamers will soon be able to scoop up the Fortnite Counterattack Set entirely for free with the purchase of a new GeForce GTX GPU.
The goodie pack is being made available to anyone who purchases either a GTX 1070, a GTX 1070 Ti, or a GTX 1060 graphics card. The male-specific Fortnite Counterattack Set itself includes a hearty helping of 2,000 V-Bucks paired to the rare Reflex outfit, the rare Pivot glider, the uncommon Angular Axe pickaxe, and the Response Unit back bling.
Fortnite fans and PC gaming enthusiasts who want to learn more about the Fortnite bundle or the applicable graphics cards can find more details featured over on the NVIDIA website. Do note that the Fortnite Bundle page includes purchase links for Founder's Editions of the 1070, 1070 Ti, and 1060, though it appears that the Fortnite Counterattack Set is included with other GPU bundles as well.
With that said, NVIDIA advises consumers to "ensure the seller is participating in the Fornite bundle program as NVIDIA cannot provide download codes and coupons for purchases made at non-participating retailers and e-tailers." A full list of participating retailers is conveniently featured on the Fortnite Bundle page over on the NVIDIA website.
Fortnite goodies or no, Shacknews would advise buyers to shop around for good price on a new GeForce GPU. The Founders Editions listed on the NVIDIA website are plainly overpriced, especially considering that new RTX 2070 GPU can be had for just around $50 more than NVIDIA is asking for the GTX 1070 Ti Founder's Edition. But, assuming the Fortnite Counterattack Set is the main draw here, we'd advise poking into the websites of participating retailers to find the best deal.
