One of the great side effects of Sony and Microsoft battling each other with online services has been the emergence of monthly free games for subscribers. These services started as a simple fee for facilitating online play, but have grown into so much more and the free games might be the best part of the service. This month, Sony is pulling out the big guns (and kicks to the head) by including both Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami as part of the PS Plus Free Games for November 2018.
Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is the recent remaster of one of the best shooters from the previous console generation. Developed by Painkiller veterans at People Can Fly, Bulletstorm features beautiful vistas that inevitably become painted with blood and guts of your enemies. Also expect some of the cringiest dialogue in video game history. Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the original Yakuza game and first released in North America back in 2017. It drops you into the japanese gangster underworld and opens the story on one of gaming’s most popular sagas.
