League of Legends developer Riot Games had an explosive opener for its annual world championships, and it's probably not what you were expecting.
Riot's fictional K/DA K-pop group in League of Legends, including Akali, Ahri, Kai'Sa, and EvelynnK, came to life during the concert, with an augmented reality performance created with the help of K-pop stars Jaira Burns, (G)I-DLE, and Madison Beer to make it all happen. They sang the crazily catchy tune "Pop/Stars," while the newest skins for K/DA appeared onstage with them and made an awesomely glittery spectacle.
But the music video was definitely something that needed to be seen too, with its neon aesthetic, awesome K-pop music video design direction, and excellent artwork. Its insanely high production values look like they're from a real-world music video, and honestly K/DA could take the world by storm. Compared to its previous Pentakill video, K/DA's blows the pants off all the previous efforts from Riot Games, by far, especially if you love K-pop.
In this case, it doesn't matter what you know about League of Legends, either – just check out the video and vibe! It's seriously good, guys.
