How to rob stores and banks without becoming wanted in Red Dead Redemption 2

It just wouldn't be a Rockstar Games release without the option to cause chaos and commit crimes. Fortunately, Red Dead Redemption 2 does not disappoint. In fact, Arthur and the other members of the Van der Linde gang are notorious for doing just about whatever they please, illegal or otherwise. However, not every player is keen on being labeled an outlaw, and those are just the types of players who need to know how to commit a crime without becoming wanted.

As it turns out, the best way to to avoid becoming wanted after instigating a robbery in Red Dead Redemption 2 is to use common sense. Fans taking to the Red Dead Redemption subreddit have shared many ideas on how this can be accomplished, and the group consensus is that the hero should take efforts to ensure that non-player characters won't recognize him in the moments before, during, or after the crime has been committed.

This is most easily accomplished not only by covering up the hero's face with a bandana or mask, but also by wearing different clothes and riding a different horse than the ones that Arthur has been seen with around town. It's possible that not all of these elements are necessary, but they certainly couldn't hurt. And, of course, the player needs to make sure they aren't spotted by the law, as that will only lead to trouble.

Youtuber AGuyCalledDis has a great video showing just how easy it is to rob a store in broad daylight, even killing the shop owner, without anyone recognizing Arthur. There are witnesses, of course, but after fleeing the town and removing the disguise, no one seems to have any idea who perpetrated the crime.
