What to do with legendary bear pelt in Red Dead Redemption 2

Published , by Kevin Tucker

Red Dead Redemption 2 players rooting around Rockstar Games' take on the Old West may find themselves inadvertently stumbling upon a legendary bear. This fearsome creature is not to be trifled with, but hunters with the know-how and proper weapons needed to take it down will be able to snatch up a Legendary Bear Pelt for their efforts, with which they'll be able to craft some truly heroic gear.

What to do with a legendary bear pelt

Players will certainly want to take their newly acquired legendary bear pelt to the Trapper. Sure, they can slide by the nearest hunting or general store and sell the pelt for a few bucks — more than a few, actually — but a legendary bear pelt can be used to craft some of the better gear available in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Considering how tough the wilds in Red Dead Redemption 2 can be, players would be wise to find the Trapper, then start inquiring about materials needed to craft the Bear Hunter outfit. A single legendary bear pelt (coupled with 40 bucks cash) can net players the Legendary Bear Head Hat, which clearly paints the hero as a slayer of beasts by planting the bear's head directly above their own.

Assuming they have a couple of other pelts on hand, players can also use the legendary bear pelt to craft other gear: the Legendary Bear Roper requires a perfect bull hide and $34, while the Legendary Bear Coat only costs $28 but requires a perfect bison pelt to craft. The entire ensemble is rounded out by the Boar Riding Gloves, which instead of legendary bear pelts requires a single perfect boar pelt coupled with two perfect rabbit pelts.

In short, don't let that legendary bear pelt go to waste — take it to the Trapper and craft some of the game's most durable clothing.
