The 2018 Heroes Global Championship Finals for Heroes of the Storm is set to be contested over the next two weeks. The Group Stages are set to help kick off BlizzCon Opening Week, with the game's top teams hitting the Blizzard Arena in Burbank, CA to determine who moves on to the semifinals and the finals. Those finalists will advance to BlizzCon itself in Anaheim, CA, where one team will be crowned the Heroes of the Storm World Champions.
The Heroes Global Championship Finals prize pool sits at a cool $1 million. Only the top four teams are eligible for any prize money. Here is how the prize money will be distributed:
The opening Group Stage will be contested in a round robin format. The eight teams with the best records at the end of the weekend will advance to the single-elimination bracket stage at BlizzCon.

Heroes of the Storm's HGC 2018 Finals will air live on Twitch. Those who watch the action and have active Blizzard accounts are eligible to receive special drops. These include:
In addition, Blizzard will randomly award 500 lucky viewers each hour with a Common Loot Chest. Three viewers who tune in for a minimum of one hour are also entered to win Heroic Account Unlock codes, which will grant them every single Heroes of the Storm character, except for the recently-released Mal'Ganis.
HGC Cheer also remains active throughout the HGC Finals. Use your Twitch bits to unlock personal and community goals that can be redeemed for various Heroes of the Storm item drops.
