Fallout 76 has officially released and players everywhere are jumping online and trying to join a server. Unfortunately, it appears as if some players are encountering an error when trying to find a world to join. The reason behind this "failed to find world" error and how to go about fixing it are sometimes clear, though it can just as easily be a mystery.
There’s really not a lot to go off with the “failed to find world” error, though at the moment players are likely encountering this error because of some server downtime due to scheduled maintenance. Because Fallout 76 is an always-online multiplayer game, whenever Bethesda needs to push out another patch to fix any number of issues the game servers must be taken offline. When the servers are offline, players will be unable to play, which means no worlds will be found.
The only thing left to do is to wait until Bethesda "throws the switch" and turns the Fallout 76 servers back online. The Fallout Twitter account usually posts when the servers are going down for maintenance, which should give you plenty of time to prepare.
