TwitchCon 2018 goes down this weekend and we've been getting waves of announcements for the event. Twitch Talks, a series dedicated to inspiring and entertaining the Twitch community, will feature incredible guests this year. Tony Hawk, Felicia Day, Ninja (joined by Twitch Co-Founder Emmett Shear), and Kevin Smith will talk part in their own respective Twitch Talks covering topics like sustaining your own personal brand and building your content creator identity. Title: Building and Sustaining Your Own Personal Brand with Tony Hawk
Date: Friday October 26 @ 1PM
Description: Tony Hawk, pro skateboarder and one of the most famous action sports athlete in the world, shares his insights and struggles with the rise to fame. Description: One of the pioneers of online video content creation, Felicia Day has been able to expand her career into television, film and other creative projects, such as producing the breakout online shows The Guild, Tabletop and Critical Role, and many recurring live shows on Twitch. Join Felicia as she gives an insightful and entertaining talk about defining yourself as a creator, sticking to your brand, the importance of self-care as you grow, and the role Twitch can play in building a healthy community online.
Ninja has worked his way into such a position largely by dominating Fortnite on the Twitch platform and Epic Games will be making a major showing for the game at TwitchCon 2018 as well. The Fortnite Fall Skirmish and Stream-Vitational TwitchCon 2018 competitions will set celebrities and attendees against each other with a prize pool of many thousands of dollars.
TwitchCon 2018 takes place this weekend, October 26 through 28 in San Jose, California at the San Jose Convention Center. Tickets are available on the official TwitchCon 2018 website. Shack staff will be in attendance, so stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates.
