How to get Horror Story in Destiny 2

Published , by Sam Chandler

The Horror Story is a Legendary auto rifle that was added to Destiny 2 with Festival of the Lost 2018, and offers an attractive option for players looking to reach Power 600. Players looking to add a Horror Story to their collection will need to prepare for a bit of a grind.

How to get Horror Story

The Horror Story Legendary auto rifle is a reward the players can purchase from Amanda Holliday in the Tower for 120 Fragmented Souls, a limited currency introduced with the Festival of the Lost. The main trouble that players will face with unlocking Horror Story is the time it will take to get the necessary Fragmented Souls, as they are only available through the Haunted Forest and by completing the bounties from Amanda.

Fighting through the Haunted Forest to at least Branch 7 will reward roughly 9 Fragmented Souls, which means without completing bounties, players would have to run through the Haunted Forest 14 times to get the required 120 Fragmented Souls. Obviously, make sure you know how to get to the Haunted Forest.

However, every day Amanda Holliday offers a collection of bounties that all reward one Fragment Soul and a weekly bounty which rewards 40. To complete the weekly bounty, players must finish 15 daily bounties, which can take as little as three days. What's also good about this weekly challenge is that it rewards Masterwork Cores and helps level up the Fighting Lion Catalyst - one of the many Exotic Catalysts in Destiny 2.

The only thing that stands between players and a Power 600 Horror Story is some patience and time to grind out the Haunted Forest and some bounties. Simply boot up the Haunted Forest and work together with your Fireteam to fight through as many Branches as possible, as the rewards increase for each Branch cleared.
