Fallout 76 is Bethesda’s bold new take on the beloved series, bringing the entire post-apocalyptic wasteland to the online realm. With the shift to an online service come problems, such as the “login failed error” message that players are receiving when attempting to load into Fallout 76.

Fallout 76 login failed error

The login failed error that players are receiving when trying to sign in to Fallout 76 can be due to a multitude of things: server instability, server downtime for maintenance, or perhaps a user-side problem are just a few of the potential issues. However, there’s a good chance that players are simply too early or too late for the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A.

Between now and the release of Fallout 76, Bethesda will be running a few B.E.T.A.s (Break-It Early Test Application) to test various aspects of the game. When players attempt to log in when the servers are not active, they will be greeted with the simple error message: login failed. The only way to fix this is to wait until the servers go online.
