Shoppers who like saving big money on new purchases — even including those who frequent online storefronts — are certainly by now familiar with Black Friday, the annual event when retailers provide deep discounts on some of the year's hottest merchandise. As luck would have it, staying on top of this year's holiday sales event is relatively easy: simply note the date for Black Friday 2018, then stay vigilant for sales ads and other posted discounts.
This year's Black Friday lands on Friday, November 23, the day after Thanksgiving in the United States. As has become tradition, however, this specific shopping date typically overlaps with the night of Thursday, November 22, a time when retailers will either open their stores early or will stay open late so that doorbuster shoppers can scoop up sale items as early as possible.
With that said, not all of this year's Black Friday discounts will be limited specifically to Friday — in fact, many retailers have put forth plains to extend their sale periods by an amount of time ranging from a few hours to a few days following Black Friday, mainly in an effort to avoid the madness and congestion that is all-too-common at retail storefronts.
Even better, many retailers extend their Black Friday sales all the way into Cyber Monday, giving shoppers a reasonably large time frame in which they can pick up new computers, televisions, video game consoles, toys, and more, all at significant discounts over suggested retail prices. Coupled with the availability of online sales, many consumers can pick up new goodies for family, friends, or themselves without ever having to leave the comfort of their homes.
Shacknews will be providing loads of coverage for gamers, PC enthusiasts, and tech consumers otherwise in the weeks and days leading up to this Black Friday 2018. Remember the date — November 23 — and keep it tuned to Shacknews to stay on top of all this year's hottest deals.
