We make no bones about loving Ninja Theory’s 2017 hit Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The game topped our list of the best indie releases of 2017 and was one of the best looking games to come out last year. It recently got ported to the Xbox One this past summer and will now be entering the physical realm with its first-ever on-disc release. You’ll be able to grab the physical version of the game from your favorite retailer on December 4.
Shacknews editor Charles Singletary slathered the game with praise in his review, touting its “incredible presence, immersive design, and overall package.” Hellblade also made the jump into VR this year with ports to both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. For PC players that had the horsepower required to run the game, it arguably provided the best looking VR experience to date. The success of the game did not go unnoticed. Microsoft announced during E3 2018 that they made a deal to acquire Ninja Theory as part of an initiave to build out its first party game development.
If you’ve yet to play the game, or have held out due to a preference for physical media, make sure to mark December 4 on your calendar with the game will be made available on PS4 and Xbox One discs for $29.99.
