With retro gaming being the hot topic of the day, the folks at Capcom and iam8bit have announced that its Mega Man 30th Anniversary collectible cartridges are ready for shipping. These limited edition packages include an NES cartridge for Mega Man 2 and a Super NES cartridge for Mega Man X.
Both of the 30th Anniversary cartridges are fully playable on their respective platforms, built with the original game code, for anyone looking to dust off their old NES and Super NES consoles. Each cartridge only has 8,500 units available, with 1,000 of those being a special Glow-in-the-Dark Blue. There is no option for selecting color, so the Glow-in-the-Dark Blue editions will be randomly issued.
Retailing for $100, these are clearly recommended for hardcore collectors only. Each package will also come with premium instruction booklets and "retro pack-in surprises." For more information, visit the iam8bit listings for Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X.
