Amazon wants more Alexa devices in the world, and it's going to make sure it gets them to you one way or another. The company is looking to release 8 new Alexa-enabled devices at the very least before 2018 comes to a close, according to CNBC.
That means that, in the future, you could see an amplifier, microwave, subwoofer, in-car items, and tons of other crazy Alexa-enabled gadgets that can either connect to another Alexa device or have the assistant built in. With all the mistakes Alexa makes at present, that sounds a little unsettling.
These new devices are supposedly being revealed later this month at an Amazon event that has yet to be announced. The company shows no signs of stopping when it comes to accelerating the amount of devices that utilize the personal assistant, and it looks like there could be even more debuting as time goes on.
If you're not so into Alexa devices, luckily you can turn the assistant off if you so choose, but it looks like we're going to be seeing a lot more creations like these coming down the pipeline in the near future, since people keep buying the devices. And you've got to admit, some of Alexa devices' quirks are pretty fun to mess with, after all. Stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates about what Amazon's getting up to.
