Battle X: Birth of the Alliance brings the military experience to VR platforms today

Looking for something more realistic to try out in one of your faithful VR setups? You'll want to give Naviworks' Oculus Rift and HTC Vive adventure Battle X: Birth of the Alliance a try. It was slated for a debut on Steam Early Access in April, and now it's available for you to add to your VR library today. There's still a PlayStation VR release coming in 2019 if you don't have any of those platforms, but for the rest of you who do, check it out! It sounds pretty wild.

The game is purported to have "an unparalleled degree of military expertise" as well as authentic gear and "dynamic combat controls." Soldiers use their own authentic weaponry, gear, and vehicles while locked in combat. The game allows for full-body movements for taking cover and taking part in combat, which makes up for a lot of the same moves that you can't pull off in other first-person shooters.

“Our experience in the military simulation field makes Battle X the most immersive first-person shooter available today,” Steve Won, Naviworks CEO, said in a release. “With virtual reality support and our dynamic combat systems, our mastery over the simulated battlefield is unparalleled.”

If you think this game sounds right up your alley, go ahead and pick it up today since it just debuted, as it's available in English, Korean, and Simplified Chinese via Steam. Just make sure you've got plenty of room in your home to maneuver so you don't have to knock things over.
