It’s been a mighty fine September for Sony and Insomniac. Their newest release, Marvel’s Spider-Man is the hottest thing in the video game world right now and is leaving players thirsty for more. The web-slinging adventure has racked up huge sales and heaps of accolades from the gaming press since its release. In an recent interview, some of the team at Insomniac Games hints at what is in the near future for everyone’s favorite web crawler.
Speaking with IGN during the Beyond Spider-Man Spoilercast, Bryan Intihar, the game’s creative director, was coy about discussing any possible sequel, but did share the news that a New Game+ mode was nearing completion. When discussing the game’s ending, Intihar said, "We wanted to have questions people may talk about and debate what the future could hold."
Intihar confirmed that the three upcoming pieces of Spider-Man DLC would not just be random busy work to the open world, but something more narratively substantial. “It’s not just activities in the city, this is a full story. You’re going to be able to get a pretty chunky, new experience," he said. The first DLC, due in October will focus on Black Cat and is dubbed, The Heist.
