Bethesda announced Wolfenstein: Youngblood during E3 2018 and it's a standalone sequel to Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, but the gears are already turning for the next major installment of the first-person shooter franchise. In an interview, outspoken Bethesda executive Pete Hines confirmed that the studio is "taking a break from the larger story" to make Youngblood but Wolfenstein 3 is absolutely going to happen.
Eurogamer reported on the interview, which was held by GameCentral, and Hines also stated that fans of the Dishonored series shouldn't "read too much" into the statement from Arkane that the series is "resting." This seems to infer that something is under way at least in a conceptual state, which has to be quite encouraging for those that have squeezed Dishonored and Dishonored 2 for every bit of fun they could.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is set for a 2019 release and focuses on the twin daughters of B.J. Blazkowicz, Jess and Soph. Stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates.
