Skeleton Ship Spawn Times and Locations in Sea of Thieves

Find out where each skeleton ship spawns on the map and the time it spawns in-game and in real life.

As part of the Cursed Sails free content update, skeleton ships have begun surfacing around the waters in Sea of Thieves. Players who are looking to unlock all the Cursed Sails commendations from the Bilge Rats will want to schedule their playtime to ensure all skeleton ships can be defeated.

Each of the nine skeleton crews only appear in the game at certain times during the next three weeks. Three skeleton crews will be assaulting the outposts each week, and of these three crews, each will only appear in the game between specific in-game times. Because of the time constraints, players should make sure they finish the Cursed Sails campaign, as they will need the new sails that are awarded in order to unlock the Bilge Rat commendations.

Skeleton Ship Times and Locations

Each outpost in the three regions contain a standard with a letter skewered to the pole. Reading the letter reveals the in-game time and location of the skeleton crew.

Because every Sea of Thieves server has the same in-game time, it is possible to translate the following in-game dates to real-life times. Reddit user noob761 has crunched the numbers, and for every 24 minutes of real-life time, 1 day passes in-game. Each of the skeleton crews only appears in one area of the map for 10 in-game days, which is 4 hours in real-life.

These times are when players can find the skeleton ships at the given locations. The following times are EST:
