Fortnite Brings Back Playground LTM This Week With 'More Loot'
Get ready to jump back into the game's creative sandbox-style mode.
One of the most popular LTMs (limited time modes) in Fortnite is returning once more, after a hiatus. Epic Games took to Twitter to announce that Playground Mode will be making its triumphant return to the game this week on July 25. It's getting a few upgrades as well, all as part of the patch v5.10 update. While Epic Games has remained mum on what exactly will be included in the update, the developer at least teased "lots more loot" as well as team select options and the new ATK vehicle. Not too shabby, right?
The team select option lets players choose who they want on their side when building and playing together, which should help to eliminate complaints about players editing others' buildings when they weren't actually on the same "team," and it's a welcome addition to the mode. Beyond that, that "lots more loot" being teased is coming, but Epic hasn't really stated what exactly that means. We'll probably just have to wait and see what's in store when the mode returns.
Playground mode returns on July 25th!

Set up squad battles with new team select options, skirt around in an ATK and gear up with lots more loot.

The rest of us will be steering around and messing about with the new ATK vehicle, which will hopefully include some new race tracks and courses. It can also make for a smashing replacement for the golf cart, especially if you fancy playing a few holes around the map. With these augments and the other Fortnite updates on the horizon, patch v5.10 is going to be a doozy. We'll have to bring you additional, finalized info on what that patch entails when the notes hit later this week.
