E3 2018: Assassin's Creed Odyssey Conquest Gameplay
It's all swords, shields, blood, and battle in the latest E3 2018 gameplay footage of Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
Video game fans just can't seem to get enough of the Assassin's Creed series, and Ubisoft is perfectly happy giving them just what they want. The latest game to don the series branding is Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and it brings the series way back to 431 BCE in a tale enveloped in the events of ancient Greece. A demo of the game was available at E3 2018, and Shacknews couldn't help but give it a go.
Like many great game videos, this one kicks off with a completely unwarranted attack on a presumably innocent bystander. Not moments after his body slumps into a lifeless heap, the murderous protagonist Kassandra extends her killing spree to those soldiers foolish enough to come to their friend's aid. Don't worry, though — their blood was also spilled in a swirling display of sharp-edged swordsmanship. Fortunately, none of these killings seem to have any sort of effect on the rest of the camp, least of all the stoic Spartan soldier who sparks up an unrelated conversation sitting mere inches from a still-bleeding corpse.
If bloodshed and battle sound like a fun way to spend the evening, Assassin's Creed Odyssey may be the game for you. Be sure to scope it out when it releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 5, 2018.
