E3 2018: Mario + Rabbids: Donkey Kong's Adventure Creative Director Interview
We sit down to get the skinny on the DLC for Mario’s breakout strategy hit of 2017.
One of the biggest surprises of 2017 was the partnership between Nintendo and Ubisoft and the resulting Switch game that was born from the collaboration. Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle followed closely to the classic X-Com gameplay formula, but successfully injected that classic Nintendo magic into the mix. We learned in January of this year that the game would be receiving a Donkey Kong-themed DLC package, dubbed Mario + Rabbids: Donkey Kong’s Adventure. The Shacknews street team at E3 2018 got a chance to sit down with Davide Soliani, the creative director of the game to get the scoop on this new DLC.
Kingdom Battle and Donkey Kong fans were excited to see the gameplay reveal that took place during Ubisoft’s E3 press briefing. It was preceded by a live concert performance by Grant Kirkhope, the man responsible for countless classic Nintendo soundtracks.
