PC Gaming Show Confirmed For E3, Theme And Sponsors Revealed
'See The Future of PC Gaming' will be the theme at E3 and some notable sponsors will making their presence known.
The E3 news cycle is gearing up and various developers and publishers, like Square-Enix and Nintendo, are revealing their intentions to attend and teasing what projects will be shown off as well. The home consoles typically dominate the conversation during E3, with PC games singing in the background, but the PC Gaming Show puts them front and center. For E3 2018, the PC Gaming Show will return and the theme this year is "See The Future of PC Gaming."
If you're going to discuss the future of gaming, VR has to be a part of the conversation, so it's no surprise that Oculus is one of the major sponsors for this year's PC Gaming Show. In addition, Improbably, Stardock, Drake's, Tripwire, Frontier, Acer Predator, and team17 will be serving as sponsors.
If you're not familiar with Improbable, it's the entity supplying various developers with SpatialOS. This cloud-based platform is a potentially groundbreaking one that will tear through design limitations of traditional server frameworks. Massive open-world adventure game Worlds Adrift and survival shooter Scavengers are just a couple titles taking advantage of the tech and we're hoping to see them take the stage during the PC Gaming Show.
Free tickets to the PC Gaming Show are available on the official website, but the conference will also stream on Twitch. It takes place Monday, June 11, 2018, from 3:00 PM PT to 4:30 PM PT. Stay tuned to Shacknews for more E3 updates.
