#4 I don't think the model cheat is as prevalent as you, and most people think. From what I've read in interviews with the creator of the cheat, and other reviewers, it doesn't really help much and if you're any good at all, it's actually a hinderance. I can understand the frustration since dying 10 seconds after you've spent $7000 on an awp, ammo, armor, defuse kit and grenades REALLY sucks, but that's just part of the realism. The tendency is to assume that all "good" players are cheating is wrong. I've practiced and played quite a bit, and have never cheated, never downloaded the cheat, and don't even use custom models or sounds and my CS-Stats rating is between 165-180. I venture to guess that all of the other top players have nothing to do with cheats.
#5 are you going to buy a copy of the 1.0 release? i hear it doesn't even require half-life. I think I'm going to buy one even though dl'ding it isn't too bad for me (cable). Dunno why... maybe a sense of justice and to see that Gooseman gets paid a bit for his efforts.

well, I agree there are great players... but I have played around with the cheats myself to learn how they work and how to spot them .. and THEY ARE WIDESPREAD. I am not some lamer crying "CHEAT" cause I get killed. I have just been turned off lately because every server seems to have the cheater with the 30-3 score.
Funny thing was: when I was doing the cheat test, I told people I what I was doing, and people took your position and said "He's not cheating .. he is just pulling your leg .. it is skillz."

Without cheat: 15-6
With cheat: 15-0

yep ... I hate admitting I tested the cheat .. but dammit several times my gun fired .. and I was like "WTF??" then in the upper corner I saw I had head-shot a guy across the map for a kill. skillz? umm no.
