Hunt: Showdown - Controls
Learn the controls before you dive into the horrifying bayous of Louisiana in Hunt: Showdown.
Hunt: Showdown is all about hunting a bounty, slaying anything in your path, and keeping your bloodline strong, but you can’t do that if you don’t know the controls. Though the controls for Hunt: Showdown are fairly straight forward, though there are some interesting choices made by Crytek that you might consider changing.
Hunt: Showdown Controls
When you first boot up Hunt: Showdown, it’s worth taking a moment to look at the controls and edit them to better suit your playstyle. For instance, changing “Crouch” to the C key might make more sense for those who have come over from PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and then there’s the ADS functionality. For some reason, you need to not only right-click, but also hit Shift in order to aim down your sights further.
Movement:
- WASD – General Movement
- Space – Jump
- Ctrl – Crouch
- Shift – Sprint/Aim Down Sight
Inventory:
- 1-9 – Equipment select
- Q – Switch Weapon
- Tab – Map
Actions:
- Left Click – Attack/Shoot
- Right Click – Aim
- R – Reload
- F – Interact
- E – Dark Sight
- Caps Lock – Push to Talk
There isn’t anything too confusing about the controls in Hunt: Showdown, but as mentioned, the aiming is going to take some getting used to. The only other outlier is likely the Dark Sight, which is used to see the signs of the boss and other players with a bounty. Take some time in your first game to play around with the aiming, even trying the toggle settings to see what feels best. If you’re yet to dive into Hunt: Showdown, maybe check out the PC system requirements, as the CryEngine can be a bit demanding.
