For those of us who prefer to do our shopping from the comfort of our own homes, Cyber Monday is the perfect opportunity to pick up some new gear. This year, the hottest console on the market is the Xbox One X, boasting superior specs and performance than the consoles in its own family and those of the competitors. Since it was only released in early November, it’s unlikely we’ll see any sales involving the Xbox One X, but it does improve the odds of us seeing some of the best Xbox One Cyber Monday deals.

Which Xbox One Should I Buy?

It’s a question gamers and parents everywhere ask whenever faced with more than one console in a given family generation, “What version should I buy?” It happened with the DS and the 3DS, the PlayStation 3 and its Slim versions, and now keen shoppers will want to know which version of the Xbox One is the best for them.

There are currently 3 versions of the Xbox One, though chances are you may only come across the most recent Xbox One S and the Xbox One X. The original Xbox One that released in 2013 is considered the obsolete version given its size, limited hard drive capacity, and its lack of 4K functionality. However, if retailers have any left over, the original Xbox One will be incredible cheap.

For the most part, you will want to pick up the Xbox One S, as it is smaller and quieter than its older sibling, plus it can play 4K movies and even supports HDR, making games extra vibrant. The next choice is the hard drive space, which ranges from 500GB up to 2TB. Thankfully, you can use an external hard drive on all Xbox One units, expanding the amount of space for games.

Finally, Xbox One S bundles can be quite appealing for those who don’t mind a pre-packaged game like MineCraft, Battlefield 1, or even Gears of War 4. These bundles are often competitively priced, offering large hard drives and sometimes a limited edition console color.
