AMD Launches New Chipset

AMD has finally launched their new AMD-760 chipset, which is the first chipset supporting DDR memory. Along with the DDR support comes 266MHz front-side bus, ATA-100, 4x AGP and up to 4gb of ram support. There are reviews on Gamers Depot, Tech Report and Sharky Extreme. Here's what that last website had to say about AMD's latest chipset effort

As we've seen, AMD's 760 offers excellent performance for gaming but lags a bit running content creation and office productivity benchmarks. For the time being, the Corona seems a bit clumsy in disk I/O (after all, it isnamed after a beer), but this situation will likely improve over time. The potential is quite blatant, as we can see from the bandwidth scores, and it is likely that future iterations of the Athlon will further unlock the benefits of a 266MHz front side bus.
