The guy who clowned you in Crucible last night also invented Snake Plissken.
Destiny 2 is hot right now. Either you’re currently playing it or know friends who are. This is especially true if you are friends with Hollywood legend John Carpenter. In an interview with The Guardian, Carpenter speaks on his youth, career, and late life hobbies, the latter being almost exclusively Destiny 2. Regarding Bungie’s loot shooter, Carpenter says, “I’ve dedicated my life to learning how to play it. At my age why not? It keeps me out of trouble.”
Carpenter is best known for directing some of the most memorable science fiction, horror, and action movies of the last 40 years. Highlights from golden period include Halloween, Assault on Precinct 13, Escape From New York, The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, and They Live. In addition to writing and directing, Carpenter is also known for the iconic synth soundtrack compositions that feature heavily in his works.
When it gets late at night and you ask yourself why you keep subjecting yourself to endless hours of the Destiny 2 grind, you can take solace in the fact that someone more creative and successful than you will ever hope to be is slogging through the same strikes.
