AMD Unleashes 760 Monday

Ah yes its finally coming, AMD is about to unleash the 760 chipset for their Athlon & Thunderbird chips. Monday! Whats the big deal? Mucho fasto! Bum deal is that you're gonna need to buy some new RAM (DDR style) in order to take advantage of the stuff.

First, it will increase the front side bus from 200MHz to 266MHz, allowing for more data throughput. [...] The company is also expected to announce new Athlon processors that support a 266MHz front side bus. [...] while they will make for faster PCs, AMD officials have said they will carry only a very small price premium.

Mmmmm... upgrade time...
