Boost Beast Brings Match-3 Mayhem to Nintendo Switch
Switch-owning puzzle fans may finally have met their match with Boost Beast.
The Nintendo Switch library is rapidly building into something special, but not everyone notices because a lot of the hardware’s potential standout releases are only available as downloads from the oft-overlooked eShop. One such game is Boost Beast, which released just this week.
Developed by Arzest, the studio responsible for Yoshi’s New Island and Hey! Pikmin on the 3DS, Boost Beast is a match-3 puzzle game with a brutal side. A horde of zombies is fast approaching, and the only way to fend them off is to clear blocks and summon animals to the rescue.
Playing as Alec, king of the dogs, you must brave terrible hazards such as cages (animals don’t like those), obstructive blocks, and even the Grim Reaper. Fortunately, you can use bombs and chain combos to clear a path to victory in across than 200 stages.
Published by Arc System Works, Boost Beast is available now on the North American eShop, with a current MSRP of $9.99 USD. The next time you’re in the mood for some match-3 action, consider taking a walk on the wild side.
