Found this kitten having a bad day this past Thursday.

It was stuck and not coming out either way. Tried using vegetable oil to slick it up, but no luck. The pipe had a cap on the end that reduced the size. I carefully took a grinder and cut sections of the thread off till it came off of the main section of pipe.

Luckily the pipe was cast so we used a big pair of bolt cutters to crack the rest off very carefully.

I don't have better pics yet, puppy really didn't sit still for photos, and most of what I did get has people in them.
My wife took the loss of her Basset mutt rescue really hard. She has been undeterred on a mission to find new paws to fill those shoes. Yesterday we checked out this Basset hound puppy, and hopefully in a week she will be home with us.
Shack I ask you, do your -worst- best: Our other pets have Deadwood character names, Calamity Jane and Mr. Wu. I think we have decided the puppy's name will be Beatrice/Trixie. Since Trixie in the show didn't really have any other nicknames besides whore, I'm looking for some ideas to add flair to her moniker. Beatrice needs a fitting last name for a southern basset hound. -
