My family has a sad history with colorectal cancer, so when this popped up in my newsfeed it was really surprising. I understand that the sample size is small - some tiny biotech firm sponsored the study and then was bought out by GSK and kinda got lost in the shuffle of acquisition. Still, the results are stunning.
Typical medical response to rectal cancer is chemo followed by a life-altering surgery, so the idea of getting a 6mo course of injections and having the tumors disappear is a freaking miracle.
