Roles of men and woman and definition of marriage would be an example. Society had, over millennia, settled on roles for men and women and for marriage between them to be the ideal situation for a family and for children. I'm willing to bet that statement alone is making most shackers angry. Regardless of whether the "old ways" were good or bad, the fact that it had been developed, practiced, and continued for thousands of years does not come into play for most shackers. I'd guess that for most reading this it means that they shouldn't continue because they were wrong, abusive, and bad. The mere statement "roles for men and women" will bring the response "like hanging gays and beating women". The belief that established ways brought happiness to people is not there and in fact can not be believed.

I'm not trying to bring agreement on the value of these ideas. I'm trying to bring clarity on what the various views are. Our society did a change from how things were done for pretty much all time before that. Instead of being progressive, we are effectively starting over with all our beliefs. Gender is fluid. Men and women are interchangable. Old things are not ideal. Whether that's an overall good thing or bad thing depends on your view of the good/badness of those beliefs.

I’ve finally finished my ultimate modded Dreamcast. DC Digital HDMI mod, GDEMU SD card loader with 3D printed SD card extension, Noctua fan with resin printed mount, replaced the controller board fuse, battery, cap and LED, and the Brooke adapter with a Bluetooth Xbone pad is the best controller the DC has ever had. So our internet went out last night and this morning and Only get one LTE bar from our house. I live on an island just outside of Seattle and my employer has a nice office I like to commute into on my motorcycle so I headed out a little late this morning.

As I’m waiting for the ferry there’s an announcement that there was an incident at the other terminal.

Motherfuckin boat crashed into the motherfuckin dock! If I had gotten up on time I woulda been on this boat up front with the other motorcyclists!

Selfishly the shitty thing for us is my wife has to get to the airport tomorrow morning and the only other terminal goes to Tacoma, and it’s gonna be PACKED.

My friend uses that service here in Seattle, as it gets hot as fuck and there's not many pools available.

Pretty ingenious business model I think. She also uses the "yard sharing" for her dog too as her pup can't go to dog parks and her yard is tiny (dog has a lot of energy).

This rental economy is cray sometimes but these are good ideas.

Not sure why everything is acting all up & mighty when I posted about this exact scenario here and most of the advice was don't bother with covid and roll with whatever happens.

This is the reality of travelling & vacation we are in for 2022.
If you haven't gotten covid yet, you will catch covid, and you will hopefully be plently fine and not be sick enough to affect you.
You can't protect people at a freaking Theme Park and vacation resorts.
And we can't ask everyone to continue isolating for 10 days for a scratchy throat.
