PANCAKE IS OFF CRATE REST!

She's fully healed. She has great sensation in both legs - perfect in her right, slight weakness in her left that might be remedied through strength training.

hello shack. Pancake, my dog, is out of surgery and the surgeon said he's more than 90% sure she'll make a full recovery.

my father's also home with what he calls "horse sized antibiotic pills" and tomorrow i'm going to be with him when we get his more detailed test results.

I got a promotion. I've been working my ass off here for a little over two years now, and have been basically "next in line" for good things to happen for... forever.

Everyone around me has moved up and moved on, and even folks that I trained have moved up.

I go above and beyond in creating workflows, giving internal and external technical presentations, creating knowledge base articles, etc, and on top of it all I was 2nd highest in production for the company last rolling year. I basically old my manager I had no idea what more I could possibly do, and I had no idea what they were expecting of me in order to see a benefit from it.

Well, we've been restructuring for a while now, it was supposed to be effective Jan 1, took forever...

But it finally all went through, and it came with a title change and about a 50% pay raise for me. Life just got a lot more comfortable.

I GOT A JOB

I managed to get a job this week doing something really fucking cool and interesting, not at all related to what I studied but still awesome.

I'd just like to say thanks to multitude of shackers who contributed advice in all the interview threads I've read here, that advice really helped me in mine.
