Day 3 in the hospital...just transferred from ICU to general care. So quiet and comfortable, it's like being in a decent hotel room.
Seems like the major source of the problem for me was Wegovy interacting with my older drug Jardiance and triggering Diabetic Keto Acidosis. Another hour at home probably would have required an ambulance ride...two hours and I could have gone into a coma and suffered brain damage or death.
Life in the ER/ICU was rough: I was having finger prick glucose tests hourly and doing a full-on blood draw for laps every 1-2 hours. My arms are all bruises and track marks. Dat street cred, tho!
I WILL NEVER BE TAKING WEGOVY AGAIN. It does wonderful things for some people, but not me. -
