PSA: Add security freezes to prevent credit theft

If you're not applying for a loan anytime soon, you should probably go ahead and add security freezes at each of the credit bureaus -- Experian, Transunion, & Equifax -- to make it harder for thieves to impersonate you & apply for credit in your name.

The process is very straightforward: create an account online with each bureau, then go to their "Security Freeze page & click a button. Creating the account is the most time-consuming process & it didn't take more than 3-5 minutes for any given site. Here's the info:

It is simply the best webcomic; the setting is somewhere between Planescape and Dante's Inferno, and it's absolutely batshit, bugfuck insane. The art is amazing, the worldbuilding is sublime, and the entire story is metal as fuck.

The basic story is that a girl is sucked into the heavens. God is dead and his successors battle upon the corpse of his empire. She has a key to the universe, the key, the key of kings, and her companions are a kung-fu angel and a reformed demon. I really can't describe it further; I lack the words.

KILL SIX BILLION DEMONS must be experienced to understand.

This is a really slick tool that greatly helped me when I first got started with Git, and at my company we actually now use it as an integrated part of our Git training for new hires who need it. In the words of the author:

"LearnGitBranching is a git repository visualizer, sandbox, and series of educational tutorials and challenges. Its primary purpose is to help developers understand git through the power of visualization (something that's absent when working on the command line)."

Also, it has greatly advanced since I started using it - the addition of support for remotes was huge for helping front-end developers in my group to understand remote branch references, how git fetch differs from git pull and all that stuff.

PC Gaming PSA

If you don't have a GSYNC of Freesync monitor (or a GPU that supports it), there's a new framerate syncing technology floating around that you will want to take advantage of. It's called "S-Sync", and it gives you the benefit of VSYNC (i.e. no image tearing), without the added input lag. I got myself configured with it to play Apex Legends all night, and it worked great!

For pleebs with standard 60hz monitors like myself, this is a Godsend! Apex Legends is already super responsive, but I think this makes it even more so. I need to try out a game with notoriously bad VSYNC / input lag implementation, and see if it helps.
