Small Dev Steals Assets from Countless Games, Including Oblivion, Wolfenstein, World of Warcraft

Update 3: More comparisons surfaced overnight, revealing that Limbo of the Lost apparently contains background elements of Gray Matter's Return to Castle Wolfenstein, World of Warcraft artwork, and a shocking number of Unreal Tournament 2004 maps.

"This is not an old game that has been dressed up," director Steve Bovis once told QuandaryLand. It is also worth noting that developer Majestic was planning a sequel to Limbo of the Lost and was seeking a new background artist for the project.

Given the sheer number of similarities from so many different games, it is extremely unlikely that all of the duplicate assets are a result of a common texture pack, as was the case with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s apparent use of Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 elements.

Morrowind GOTY PC

We received an email from Bethesda announcing that their online store is now taking pre-orders for not only the Xbox version of the Morrowind Game of the Year edition, but a PC version as well. Like the Xbox version, the previously unannounced Morrowind PC GOTY edition contains the original game along with the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansion packs. It will ship the week of October 20, and will set you back $29.99.

The people at Bethesda sent along an email announcing that the second Morrowind expansion pack Bloodmoon, has gone gold. Taking you to the Island of Solstheim, and featuring werewolves (and the option to become one), Bloodmoon will ship to stores in the first week of June. Here are some screenshots and there's also this rendered cutscene from when you first become a werewolf.

Bethesda sends along this press release, announcing a second expansion for their role playing game The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Bloodmoon. Due out in May, Bloodmoon takes you to the frozen Island of Solstheim where the Empire is establishing a new mining colony. Computer & Video Games posted a story about a possible Morrowind expansion just a few days ago and it turns out they were right, as Bethesda just sent out this press release announcing Morrowind: Tribunal. All kinds of new locations ("Your journey will lead you to Mournhold, capital city of Morrowind, to theClockwork City of Sotha Sil, and through massive, epic-sized dungeons") and features. European Morrowind Patch

Ubi Soft has released the first patch for the European version of Morrowind, updating the game to version 1.1.0605 a week after the U.S. patch was released. There's improved performance (that's what UbiSoft NL says anyway), a health bar for creatures and NPCS and an auto run option among other things.

Bethesda has released 3D Studio exporter tools for the Morrowind TES construction kit, allowing you to import your own models into the game. There is a 3D Studio MAX 3.1 and a MAX 4 version.
