Sony Loves Emulators

Ok, not really. But big news for all you emulator lovers. It looks like Sony has backed out of their lawsuit against Connectix, makers of a Playstation emulator that was being sold for PCs. This is a pretty darn big deal which could carry over implications to other emulator legal battles.

"While we recognize that Sony may still attempt to bring some of these claims back before the court at a later date, this represents the third victory in a row for Connectix in this case," Connectix chief executive Roy McDonald said in a statement.

On the subject of consoles, ArsTechnica linked to this bit with word that the Dreamcast GD-ROMs have been cracked.
