Adventure game wizard Telltale Games has finally confirmed the rumours that it's making a video game adaptation of Robert Kirkman's zombie comic book series 'The Walking Dead.'

Like most Telltale games, it'll be episodic, and the developer hopes to launch the first part in the fourth quarter of this year. It'll be set in the world of the comic book rather than the recent television series, though it seems questions of genre, story, characters and more are not yet settled. "The game is at an early stage, and we're in the process of mapping this all out now," Kirkman told IGN.

Platforms have also yet to be announced, though the agreement reportedly covers PC, Mac, consoles, handhelds, mobile and social media.

There's no word yet on the rest of the five projects Telltale had said it would be revealing at the press event yesterday. It was expected that a game based upon fabulous fairy tale comic book 'Fables' would be one of them. Whatever they are, it seems that Telltale is biding its time rather than publicly announcing them all in one go.

Telltale also confirmed that the first episode of Jurassic Park: The Game will arrive in April. The whole PC and Mac series can be pre-ordered now with $5 off, for $29.99. There's also a new trailer, which is currently exclusive to Gametrailers.
