Shack PSA: Bulletstorm Demo on Xbox 360, PS3 Today; Crysis 2 Multiplayer Beta on Live

27
Two of 2011's most anticipated titles have been teased in the most interactive way possible: demos. Trials for People Can Fly's Bulletstorm and Crytek's Crysis 2 are now available.

Bulletstorm's previously announced demo can be downloaded on the Xbox Live Marketplace right now, with a PlayStation 3 version expected to hit the PlayStation Store along with Tuesday evening's regular content update.

Additionally, the Xbox 360-exclusive Crysis 2 multiplayer beta is also now available from the Marketplace.

What are you waiting for? (Other than someone to show off some PC love, that is.)

It would be great if the Crysis 2 demo was on PC. I thought they were staying PC centric with this one.

It really should come out on the PC at one point, a lot of people will be hesitant to buy it because they don't know if their PC can handle it.

As a mainly console gamer who played the original Crysis on my PC just a year or two ago, I personally think it's a huge disservice to not give PC players the first crack at the game. Crysis was such a huge landmark for the platform, and it doesn't even seem right.

I think it has more to do with a lot of issues still surrounding the console release of Crysis 2. From what Leahy was saying in past Podcasts the PC version was great but few people have seen any of the console version since E3 and those who have say that there are some major technical issues with the console game. I think this is more of an accelrated bug fixing process for consoles so it can make the scheduled release. I'll be getting in for my brand spanking new PC anyway.

I'm pretty much with you on that. I'd rather get the PC version out of multiplatform releases unless it's something related to the type of games due to controllers like 3rd person action games or having to wait 5 months for the PC version, but then again if it's a good enough game, I'll get it for the PC anyways.

      They were, then piracy happened.

OH, that's the trendy excuse these days, is it? Hmm...

When you spend millions of dollars developing a game and it generates way more sales on consoles over PC you would understand I'm sure. I would never buy this game for console, I'm a PC gamer through and through, but you can't completely blame them.

No one can pirate it if they never release it for any platform.

I agree with you but at the same time, they use any excuse to not say they love their console money hats. Console gamers eat shit up even if it's bad shit and these guys want to get paid even if it means shafting their long time fans a little. Or in Epic's case, alot.

Never. Crysis 2 was built from the ground up to be cross platform with higher fidelity graphics on the PEE-C.

That's what I thought. I guess people hear what they want.
