Did he really say only 2 new maps? I thought it was going to be 4. I really don't see why they can't put up a better showing like 6 maps, I've not heard of there being any sp campaign. I really doubt new gun models and a couple vehicles take that much time.

IIRC, it's 4 vietnam maps and 1 or 2 maps ported from BC1. There was a vote or something on which map to port.
Map making tools aren't going to happen. The following link by one of the developers patiently explains why. http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/battlefield-bad-company-2-pc/1350772-so-how-about-modtools.html
/I share your sentiments about the lack of new content. I don't really care about reskinned vehicles or guns. I want new maps.
//I don't think DICE or the publisher thought this game was going to do this well. Thus they had commited development time to MOH MP instead of building on the success of BC2.-
What??
4 maps will be entirely free, these consist of 2 BC1 MP maps and 2 BC2 SP maps. Will be bundled as Map Pack 7.
Vietnam will have 5 maps, 4 new vietnam maps with 1 BF:V map (operation hastings) and will be a paid DLC ($15)
